The journey
Coming by train or coach, you can walk it in five to ten minutes. Driving, the harbour car parks on Wharfside are the closest sizeable option and a short stroll away. There’s no need to move the car afterwards — the town’s restaurants and cafes are all around you.
Penzance’s weather has a sense of humour. When the rain comes in sideways off the bay, a basement full of puzzles is a considerably better plan than the promenade.
There are no toilets in the rooms themselves — the gallery upstairs and several spots on New Street are all a minute away, so go before the clock starts.
