A little housekeeping before the fun starts. Our puzzles reward clever, not strong — no lock, prop or door will ever need more welly than a smallish child could supply. If you find yourself heaving on something, that’s the puzzle’s way of telling you to think again.

If you’re ever not sure whether something is part of the game, just ask — anything that’s off-limits will be pointed out before you start.

The things worth knowing

Playing is completely voluntary, and you can leave whenever you want — through the same door you walked in by. Where a room’s door locks during the game, there’s always a clearly marked emergency release right by it, so you can let yourself out the moment you want to — and we’ll show you where it is before you go in.

Our rooms come with low light, generous sound, the odd strobe or flash, and a few well-timed surprises. Anyone with photosensitivity or epilepsy, a heart condition, claustrophobia or unease in small spaces, or who is pregnant, should let us know before booking — email sales@escaperoomscornwall.com and we’ll steer you to a room that suits.

28 Pasties Later has strong horror themes, flashing lights and jump scares; if that’s not for everyone in your group, please talk to us before you book.

Phones live in pockets for the whole game — you won’t need one, and the screen glow breaks the spell for everybody else.

Please don’t remove clues or combinations, and resist the urge to investigate ceiling tiles, walls, floor grates or anything heavy. Deliberately break or pocket something and we’ll pass the repair cost to the group.

The legal fine print

We accept no liability for injuries that come from taking part — with the one exception the law insists on: injuries caused by our own negligence, which under the law of England and Wales simply can’t be signed away (and we’re not trying to). Otherwise, escape rooms carry inherent risks that you’re choosing to take on. Your statutory rights are untouched by any of this.

We keep CCTV rolling during sessions for safety alone. Games aren’t routinely recorded, though the occasional clip may be kept, and we’ll always ask before using your photo for marketing. Your details are handled under our Privacy Policy, and your signed waiver, name and date are kept for six years — the usual for personal-injury records.

By signing below, I confirm I have read and understood this waiver and am taking part voluntarily and at my own risk, on behalf of myself and any players under 16 in my group. I confirm I have no medical condition that makes it unsafe for me to take part. This waiver is valid for the day of the booked visit.
